Transient - A transient student is a guest from another college or university for one term, and who has been verified by the home institution as being in good academic standing and eligible to return; and who has their home institution's permission to attend KSU as a transient student.

You will be a guest Owl at Kennesaw State for one semester. You must apply for admission and provide a transient letter from the Registrar's Office or Academic Dean at your home institution, verifying that you are in good academic standing and granting permission for you to attend KSU as a transient student. If your institution does not verify good standing on transient letters, you must also have the home institution send an official transcript.
If you wish to continue enrollment for a future term, you must apply again and submit a new transient letter for the deadline for the new term you wish to enter. If you would like to change your enrollment status by becoming a transfer student, you must also reapply and send all required credentials by the deadline.
If you want to change your status, such as become a transfer student, you must also reapply and send all required credentials by the deadline. Courses taken at KSU as a transient student are not counted in meeting transfer admission requirements.
Transient students attending KSU are not guaranteed course availability and are prohibited from enrollment in Learning Support Program courses and certain courses requiring admission to a gated academic program. Courses within gated programs may not be available to transient students. We recommend contacting with the appropriate academic college to confirm courses are open to transient students. Courses taken at KSU as a transient student are not counted in meeting transfer admission requirements.
❑ Submit a transient letter from the Registrar's Office or Academic Dean at your home institution. The letter must state that you are in Good Academic Standing, eligible to re-enroll, and have the home institution's permission to attend KSU as a transient student.
❑ If your institution does not verify good standing on the transient letter, you must ALSO request that they send an official transcript to KSU.
❑ If you apply for in-state tuition, you must provide proof of lawful presence prior to enrollment.
❑ Prior to enrolling in courses you must provide proof of immunization as required by the University System of Georgia. Please see http://immunizations.kennesaw.edu/ for further information.
